Things to know before you decide to live on a sailboat
Living on a sailboat is a unique and exciting lifestyle choice that offers unlimited freedom and stunning views. In this blog post, I will share my personal experience and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of living on a sailboat.
During one of my trips to Tofino, BC, I met a couple who lived on a sailboat. Intrigued, I decided to try it out for myself and found the experience incredible. The boat's sounds, sights, and movements heightened all my senses. I loved feeling free from the burdens of taxes and bills and appreciated the minimalist living and making new friends on the water.
One of the primary benefits of living on a sailboat is the unlimited freedom it provides. You can make noise without worrying about bothering your neighbours and move around anytime you want. It also offers a peaceful and relaxed state of mind and a break from the traditional box-like home.
However, there are some challenges to living on a sailboat. You must do everything manually, from pumping out the toilet to fixing the engine. Finding a dock can also be challenging, and weather conditions can be a significant factor to consider in certain regions.
